Two Self Portraits On a Train

The sepia shot is from a Sony Mavica with the floppy drive. In the summer of 1999, I had returned to Italy to continue drawing classes under Charles Cecil. This was one morning after a group of us from the atelier had been at the Arezzo Wave concert. With no hotel room to retreat to, we opted to stay up until morning. The file is marked 5.49 AM, but I think it was more like 7.00 AM.


The color shot is one I took the other day on my Nikon. The Arezzo train picture had completely escaped my memory when I shot it.
